ChiroYoga™

Who better than the chiropractor to be the health care practitioner the yoga community turns to for help and advice?  Who better to serve as the expert on alignment and structural issues?

Chiropractic and yoga have always had similar intentions and philosophies. Yoga’s attention to precise postural alignment and its understanding of the relationship between structure and health is certainly not foreign to the chiropractic way of thinking.  Practicing yoga can injure just as easily as it can heal. Yoga practiced with incorrect alignment is structurally damaging and will eventually lead to injury.  In fact, orthopedists are reporting increased numbers of injuries directly attributable to the practice of yoga.  ChiroYoga brings various techniques to help injuries sustained during yoga as well being the perfect bridge to help your optimize your yoga practice.

Dr. Levin has been trained by Dr. Steven Weiss in his technique of ChiroYoga Therapy (BioMechanical Re-Patterning) Combining years of study and clinical experience in both chiropractic and yoga, Dr. Weiss has developed an eclectic blend of bodywork called ChiroYoga™ Therapy. Chiropractic methods, from the more subtle and esoteric to the traditional are interwoven with yoga therapy, clinical orthopedic assessment, muscle therapies, and various other complementary forms of bodywork. The result is a flowing, meditative bodywork experience- a healing dance. The work promotes the surrender into "ease" - that vital state of our being that is necessary for healing, injury recovery, or to simply be healthy and whole. When free of structural tension, the body can move from a state of dis-ease towards ease and a fuller expression of health.
